.NET, SharePoint, C++? — we can do that! Agile, SCRUM? — we know best ways! Belly dance??? — we can dance that!
It has become a tradition in Arcadia to meet the coming year with dancing and singing, and the 2011 was not an exception. Far from the office and computers, the whole Arcadia's team (plus some of spouses and children) gathered to celebrate the coming holidays. They all danced, singed and joked about the most important things in their lives: software development projects.
Another year passed in hard work: we continued collaboration with our long-term clients, we looked for new projects and challenges, we solved new problems, gained new knowledge and skills; new team-members joined us. All these things should be taken very seriously, but... with a touch of humour. This year Arcadians created, produced and performed a romantic story about a king (client), a princess (project) and a romantic hero — vagrant musician (Arcadia's developer team). The hero competed with foreign rivals and — oh, sure — won the heart of the princess and the favour of the king. Happy end, everybody rejoice!
Arcadians understand very well their advantages over foreign competitors. They can even make a revue about them!
Each project can be shown as a sort of romantic story...
