The former procedure of registering new messages or documents as Cases (or as new records in existing Cases) demanded a lot of manual work to fill in all required fields.
Solution
Case Handling Document PreProcessor (CHDP) application was intended to simplify the process of registering and updating new Cases in the Client's Case Registering System. CHDP’s purpose was to automate this procedure as much as possible and to minimize manual work of employees who decide to register fresh documents in new or existing Cases. For that, CHDP extracted automatically all required information from a document, leaving to a user only a small amount of work of Case registering or updating.
CHDP provided convenient and flexible environment to handle documents of various types. It allowed to register e-mail messages, MS Office (Word, Excel), PDF and other documents. Besides registering, a user was able to postpone registration procedure to return to it afterwards.
CHDP became a part of the Client's IT infrastructure and used Microsoft BizTalk Server for applications integration and the Client's Document Handling System as document repository.
